Monthly Favourites: March!

Well hello there!

Last time I did a monthly favourites, I did it over on my YouTube channel. This month, since my phone can't shoot long videos and my camera's mic is gone, I'm doing a blog post about it!

So I'm going to start off with makeup products that I've been loving this month.
The first product is Femme Couture Get Flawless 8-in-1 Foundation. I got this product in a shade that is way too dark for me so I need to go pick up a lighter one, but this product is amazing. It stays matte throughout the day; it doesn't fade off; it doesn't oxidize; it has a pump; and if you buy the correct shade, you don't need a lot. Since I did buy a shade too dark for me (I bought "light") I have to use quite a bit to make sure I don't miss any spots. That also means I have to cover my neck so that takes up a lot. But nonetheless, this product is amazing.

The second product is Sally Girl Baked Eyeshadow in a rose gold colour (there's no name to it). I love this colour. It suits my skin tone so well and it's extremely pigmented. Would you believe that it's only $1.34?!? I'm not even lying!! There's so much product in this little thing that I will never go out any buy any other eyeshadows!
.........................................................
The third product I've been loving is my EOS lip balms. I specifically love the sweet mint flavour, but I also have watermelon and blueberry (I had a vanilla but lost it). If you see one of these, I suggest buying it because they last forever and do a nice job at smoothing your lips.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now my next section is going to be for hair.
The only product I have in this category is coconut oil. I have Carrington Farms Organic Coconut Oil (Virgin, Cold-Pressed) from Costco and I love it. I use it as a hair mask (you can also use it for cooking but I don't). All you do is you put this oil, which is solid in room temperature but liquid when touched, on your entire head focusing on your roots. You do this for 20 minutes and put either a shower cap or a bag on your head. Then you get in the shower and double shampoo it, once to focus on getting the oil out and secondly to clean your hair, and then condition it. My hair has never felt so soft and I was even asked if I did something different to it because it made that much of a difference. Even if you go get a little bottle to test it out, I suggest doing it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The third section is going to be books and music (not typically added in most people's favourites but I spend a lot of time with both).
I read the Divergent series quite a while ago. I absolutely loved it! I went and saw the movie March 25 and although it was good, I'm glad I read the books. So if you haven't read them, I really recommend it!
.........................................................
Music is something that I'm kind of protective over. I like to share what music I listen to but once it starts playing on radio every 2 seconds (ahem...Say Something...) I get bored of it. This being said I tend to search for over an hour on YouTube to find really good music. Some of the songs I've been loving are:
Tonight You're Perfect by New Politics
The Days We Care About by Marble Sounds
She Looks So Perfect by 5 Seconds of Summer
Summertime Sadness by Miley Cyrus
Run & Hide by This Century
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The fourth section is short and sweet, (this is going to be a pun in about 0.2 seconds so *wink wink nudge nudge*) and it's about food. (Okay maybe that wasn't the pun just give it a few more seconds, I promise it's coming!)
Chocolate. Everything.
(I told you it was coming!)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The fifth section is decor that I've been loving.
I have been into the DIY spirit a lot lately so that's really my only favourites, but here are a couple of the pieces I've DIY-ed. I'll link you to the blog posts where I talked about how I did them!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sixth and last section, (I promise this is it), is celebrity news. Yes yes yes I am a gossip junkie. Do I believe it all? No, not really. But I still keep up on it.

First thing is Kimmy K on Vogue. UM NO HOW ABOUT NO. The fact that they had to pay for their own pictures says it all. I actually bought the magazine just to read the article...definitely not worth the money. The article first talks about interior design, then Kanye's album, and then about like Kim's fashion sense. The most ridiculous things I read were about how Kim thought it wasn't reasonable to buy Elizabeth Taylor's house because it only had a one car garage and that Kim wears clothes from Sears. Gurrrl, you have a collection at Sears and you don't even wear real clothes from it, just tights.
.........................................................
Second is Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are expecting a baby! I'm so happy for them, this is going to be the most beautiful baby ever!!!
.........................................................
Third is The Bachelor. I watched it and I loved it at first but then Juan Pablo turned into a douche. He might be nice to look at but his personality definitely takes all of that away. (p.s. WHAT ARE YOU DOING NIKKI?!?!?!?)
.........................................................
Fourth is Justin Bieber. I love him no matter what. End of story.
.........................................................
Last but not least, number five is Lou Teasdale's book The Craft is coming out soon! If you don't know who she is, she's a hairdresser to many people like One Direction, Caroline Flack, Olly Murs, etc. She's also amazing (and has the cutest daughter ever)! Her new DIY hair and makeup book is coming out tomorrow, but you can pre-order on Amazon! (I'm for sure getting it!) Lou looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous dress, but there's never a time where she doesn't look that good!

Anyway, that's it! Those are all of the things I've been loving this month! What have you been loving? Comment and let me know!
