Bringing Back The 90's!

Well hello there!

I've been looking for a spring jacket for a while and obviously spring is here and I'm without one. Now it's time to really crack down on finding one and I've fallen in love with a specific style. If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen my tweet about wanting a windbreaker.

Ah yes, you heard me correctly. A windbreaker. Those nylon jackets that made a scratchy sound every time you swung your arms which normally came in extremely vibrant colours. The one that Zack Morris wore.

Now you might be thinking I'm completely crazy but just hear me out. These jackets are extremely practical for spring. They have a super soft lining, a waterproof exterior, and are thin enough to not make you too warm but warm enough to not be freezing either.

The best part of all is that I think they could actually be in style again. You know how style comes back around every 10 years or so? Well it's time for them to come back just like scrunchies and platform sneakers have already done.

It's also a nice way to break from the anoraks and trench coats that are gracing everyone's torsos right now. The only issue is trying to find one because I'm obviously so far ahead on this trend that no one carries them yet. So it's time for hunting.

I've found a few that I'd like to share with you. Now, I'm not the kind of person that would be willing to wear a vibrant coat but that doesn't knock me out of the windbreaker for spring 2014 category.

This first one is a nice way to actually bring this trend back and one that I'm actually going to purchase myself!

Zumiez has quite a few nice ones so I'd suggest checking out their website but I chose this because it's a more "classier" type.

I like this next one's anorak look and the nice pastel blue it comes in. There seems to be a blue trend going on for this post...

Straying away from the blues, I've found one that satisfies my love for pink! It also comes in a dark blue and a striped pattern!

There is obviously the more sportier options sold by sport brands but I like the more girly take on them. Sporty is currently a trend though so don't feel like it's not fashionble to wear that type.

Anyway, I better get going to put some money on my Visa so I can purchase one of these lovely jackets!

Whats your favourite spring jacket look?
