imPress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails Review!

Well hello there!

Today I received my very first Voxbox from Influenster! If you don't know what it is, it's basically this website where you sign up and they see how much "influence" you have on social media and give you a score. You get badges and stuff to improve your score so you can be qualified for these voxboxes. They send you these boxes for free, but you have to review them.

Which is exactly what I am going to do!

As you can tell by the title, in the box today, it was imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails!

As you can see, I received 2 kinds to try. There is a card at the bottom of the box (which you can see) that says the plain solid colour costs $8.99 and the design one costs $10.99. I got Control Freak (the pink one) and Holla! (the design one).

I couldn't wait to try it so I immediately read the instructions which are easy!

My favourite part of this product is the packaging. The nails come in these cute little nail polish lookalike bottles!

In the little bottles, there is 24 sizes of nails which is really nice! I have extremely small nails so it's good that they're not one size fits all! The instructions say to line up all the nails that fit you in order, which is what I did. I obviously had tons left over, so hopefully someone I know can fit these ones!

After that, the instructions say to clean your hands with soap and your nails with the prep pad provided. I removed my nail polish with nail polish remover and then cleaned my hands and nails!

Now comes the fun part, applying! Since these are press ons, there's already glue on the back of them which makes application super easy! There's a little tab on each of the nails to pull the plastic up from, which is nice, but pulling it off is hard, especially when you have some nails on already. One downside I found was that the glue was applied very high up the nail. This isn't the best for people with small hands and short nails.

The instructions say to press down in the middle and then the sides, then apply pressure all over. I did this to every nail. They say not to apply the thumb until last which is understandable, so I didn't.

Now, personally, I don't like extremely long square nails on myself so I had to file and cut them. The glue being so high up made this kind of difficult but other than that, shaping them was super easy! The colour didn't chip at all, and the nails are flexible enough that they won't snap in half when you cut them. I made mine much shorter and rounded the edges out.

The last picture shows how much I took them down.

After doing the dishes, the nails did not last. I waited about 3 hours before doing them, and took very careful care, but both pointer fingers did not last.

Overall, I do like the way they look, and they seem really sturdy on my nail. I am very unsure of the design one because to me it looks kind of tacky which is why I went for the plains ones. They are very easy to apply but I think the company should make some nails which are shorter and different shapes. For that reason, I will not be going out to buy these. Maybe if they did make shorter ones and different shapes, I would, but for now I am thankful I didn't have to pay for these.

I think that these nails would be good for a one day event but definitely not for casual wear.

I'd like to thank Influenster for allowing me to review this product, and I'd like to thank imPress Manicure for sending me these.
