Boyfriend Jean Fever!

Well hello there!

My dear friend Anahid was asking me about boyfriend jeans today, and that really got me thinking about doing a blog post about them! I don't wear boyfriend jeans specifically because I have larger thighs than most people. On me, boyfriend jeans are super tight in the thighs and then normally look massive in the calves, and also hit me in a weird spot. However, this doesn't stop me from loving them on other people!

If you don't know what boyfriend jeans are, basically they are a jean for women made to look like a man's jean fit. They're typically baggier and overall larger fitting (meaning in the legs they are wide). Most women roll the bottom of the jeans up to make it a little less manly. Also, I noticed women wear them with dainty heels and bold accessories to make them look classy.

So I've compiled a list of my favourite boyfriend jeans for others to test out!

Topshop:

MOTO SUPER RIPPED HAYDEN BOYFRIEND JEANS, $61

MOTO RIPPED WHITE HAYDEN BOYFRIEND JEANS, $66

MOTO SLIM LUCAS BOYFRIEND JEANS, $61

MOTO SUPERSOFT BLEACH WASH BOYFRIEND JEANS, On sale for $36

Asos:

These ones are extremely expensive, I just like the unexpected grey colour of them!
One Teaspoon Trashed Freebird Jeans in Melrose Grey, $236.65

H&M:

Boyfriend Low Jeans, $40

Boyfriend Low Jeans, $40

Levi's:

501® Jeans for Women, $88

Selvedge Boyfriend Skinny Jeans, $88

501® Jeans for Women, On sale for $45

I like the more distressed jeans, but I know there's a lot of people who don't, so I decided to do a nice mixture. I also like the current trend of white, but I also like the normal/medium wash ones as well...but I also chose to do a mixture of all the shades. If you're looking for cheap ones, I suggest going to H&M, but if you're looking for a nice sturdy pair, I would choose Topshop. Obviously Levi's makes nice jeans, but I'm liking the trend of Topshop's over Levi's.

As some of you know, I work at Buffalo Jeans. I didn't suggest buying from there because I find their boyfriend jeans are on the flimsy side, and also fit a bit more snug then normal boyfriends. I used to have a pair of boyfriends, before they were trendy, from American Eagle, but all of their boyfriend styles were quite odd.

It does take a while to find the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans, so shop around! Don't buy a pair that you only feel okay about; always make sure to love them before you buy them! Also, beware of mom jeans! They are coming back into style and look very similar to boyfriends except they have a higher rise and a different leg fit!

I hope this little guide helps you find your perfect pair of boyfriends!
