Smelling Like Spring

Well hello there!

To be completely honest, I was supposed to upload a "Get Ready With Me" post yesterday. I even posted a picture of my outfit on Instagram and had taken all the pictures I needed to... until I got bored of my hair, my outfit, and frankly what I was about to post. I've had some writers block recently and I've been getting tired of choosing pieces from the same websites/brands all the time. Those are my go to websites for myself but I know there's probably so many more that I could be featuring on here that I just need a bit of time to discover them all. With that being said, I knew I should still post something so I can try to get out of this blockage I'm dealing with.

So, for my post today I'm going to be featuring some of my need to try perfumes. I'm a huge perfume junkie, and I think it's essential to switch up your perfumes every so often. I like to do it once a new season hits so that I can really feel them changing, considering it's almost April and it's still snowing in Canada. I have 2 designated perfumes... 1 for Winter and 1 for Summer. But that leaves still 2 seasons for me to fill up, and Spring is here so now I need to find myself a new perfume! These are the ones on my "testing" list:

"Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black is an addictive blend of alluring violet, sensual sandalwood, and rich vanilla that strike the perfect balance between masculine and feminine."
I've wanted to try this perfume for a really long time, as well as the white one. With an order from Sephora I chose to sample the white version and actually really disliked it, which leaves me very curious to find what this one smells like.

"The custom grown (and ├╝ber rare) TOM FORD BLACK ORCHID is the show-stopping note in this incredibly luxurious scent. Sultry woods and rich fruit accords help to bring out the skin's natural perfume, and the jet-black, art-deco inspired bottle adds to the fragrances overall glamour."
I idolize everything Tom Ford so when I had found a "sample" in a magazine, I knew I just had to open it to see what how glorious this scent was. I absolutely fell in love and immediately knew I needed to test it out!

"Inspired by the boundless spirit of daisies and blue skies, Daisy Dream reflects Marc Jacobs’ irresistible mix of intricate details, elegance, and femininity for a fresh interpretation of the iconic Daisy motif. The fruity-floral fragrance has a light and airy touch, bursting with top notes of blackberry, grapefruit, and pear. The heart notes are introduced with a bouquet of jasmine, lychee, and blue wisteria, and a medley of white woods, musks, and coconut water reveal the base notes. "
When I was searching for my perfect Summer perfume, I tested all of the Marc Jacobs scents and found that this one is ideal for Spring! It's very fresh and not to mention that the bottle is to die for!

"Originally launched in 2000, this scent marked Kenzo's invention of the poppy fragrance. At once soft and floral, notes of violet, vanilla, and rose flourish with sly giddiness. It's a contemporary perfume for urban women who look to nature for inspiration and renewal."
I'm very much a packaging enthusiast as well as absolutely adoring the Kenzo brand, so this perfume seems perfect for me. And the fact that it has a flower on it just screams out Spring, so it's a must try!

"Notes of bergamot drift among hints of sparkling mandarin, crisp green apple, lemon zest, cotton accord, mint, and peach notes. The result is an understated and distinctive fragrance that exudes feelings of comfort, simplicity, and pureness."
At the same time I received the Elizabeth and James sample, I also chose this sample as well. Since Spring is a very refreshing time of year, I know that this perfume is absolutely perfect and it smells amazing!

The hardest part about choosing a perfume at Sephora is that you become very overwhelmed by the options that it's almost terrifying to even look at. And also that once you start testing all of the options you begin to forget what certain ones smell like and you leave with a migraine. My hope with this post is that I've narrowed your choices down a bit so that you can really focus on finding the perfect scent for Spring!

What perfume would you like to test the most? Or if you've found your perfect one, what is it?

P.S. Follow me on social media because sometimes I'm interesting!
