A Lesson in Positivity

Well hello there!

Today is the day I crack. I'm not the kind of person to start a confrontation with someone because I don't agree with them. I'm not the kind of person that wants to be in an argument in general. But today I have something to say.

I am a positive person. I believe that what you put into this universe you get out of it. I know that positivity is simply the reason I am still here today. If you've read for a while or if you care to search around, there have been times where I simply just did not want to be here. For years upon years before that I was negative. I could never see the way out. I never knew there was an ending to the storm I was in. And I never realized I was the one letting it break me down.

It's been a while since I was in that position and by no means does that make me an expert, but it does make me someone who wants to give advice. See the funny thing about positivity is that it is a choice. Every single person to have walked this Earth at some point or another has dealt with some shit. And shit is not fun, it sucks. But there are two kinds of people that are made from it. One of them is broken. One of them is strong. The person who ends up broken has chosen to see nothing but the bad and believe the pain lasts forever. The person who ends up strong has chosen to find the good and know the pain doesn't last forever. Both have felt sad and hurt and angry with the world, but only one comes out alive.

We live in a world where it is the easiest thing to see all the negativity. Turn on the news, go on Facebook or Twitter, even just having a conversation with someone, you are fed all of the negative things. It is what this world thrives on. All it takes is a little bit of effort and you can really find the good in things. Yes there are some really bad and destroying aspects of life and I'm not saying we can't be upset about them.

What I'm saying is that you have to know that there is always an end to the storm. There might even be a rainbow waiting on the other side.

Be kind to one another.
