Mini Summer Drugstore Makeup Haul

Well hello there!

drugstore haul

Over the past little bit I've been really wanting to try more and more makeup products. Shopping at Sephora is great, but I don't really feel like spending $20 or even more than that to try out a new product that I don't know if I'm going to like. Yes, I know, they have a great return policy but I have to drive 30 minutes to get to the store and I honestly just can't be bothered to do so.

I've decided to test out drugstore products. Although sometimes there are circumstances where you do get what you pay for, sometimes the prices of makeup are just thru the roof. Drugstore products aren't of any less value than higher end makeup - most of the time it's the exact same or even better than your favourite luxury brands! Anyone that gets into makeup knows how expensive it can be to buy and collect, so why not save some money without sacrificing the product pay off?

To save some time I'm going to do a little review on the products that I've used, and some of the brands. If you're interested on a more in-depth review, let me know which product you want to know about and I'll definitely answer the questions you might have!

Face Products:

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation: This foundation IS THE GREATEST THING EVER! I bought it in a shade that was a little darker than my skin tone to give me a tan and it blends so well! It doesn't look too dark once it's blended out and not much is needed!

Maybelline Master Conceal Concealer: I tried this out once and the coverage is nice but I find that it slips a lot during the day. I also got it in a shade that is too light so it would work as a great highlighting concealer!

Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sun Light: I wanted a bronzer that had no shimmer in it and made my look naturally tan. This bronzer does just that and it its so smooth and easy to apply, I'll definitely be repurchasing this!

Essence Silky Touch Blush in Babydoll: This is my first time buying an essence blush and I haven't used it yet but I like the shade of this. It's pigmented just the right amount that you don't feel like you'll be looking like a clown the second the brush touches your face.

Joe Fresh Highlighter Stick in Pure Glow: I never really thought I needed a highlighter because my face is already pretty shiny but holy jeez was I missing out! This stick is super pigmented but it blends out really nicely for a subtle look. The creamy consistency makes it easy to apply and super buildable!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Siren (top), Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Ravish Me Red (bottom), Essence Lip Liner in Femme Fatale, Essence Lip Liner in Honey Berry

Revlon Lipsticks: If you are looking to try out creamy lipsticks I would highly recommend these ones! They're very pigmented, go on sale for super cheap and they have a heck of a lot of shades! They do have matte version and some sheer ones as well!

Essence Lip Liners: Essence is a really great brand that is so super cheap. They're products are ones that I keep repurchasing and constantly check out because they're so good. They're lip liners work beautifully and stay in place all day!

I also picked up the Essence Eyebrow Fixing Pencil, which is a transparent brow wax. When I picked it up I didn't read it properly and I thought it was an eyebrow highlighter, and I've never used a brow was before. I just applied it and it feels like my brows will not move at all which is a blessing because I always end up scratching mine and moving them around.

Let me know in the comments below which drugstore products you think I should check out! I'm always on the look out for more great finds!

Until next time...
